A WordPress site you can run yourself, without losing a single search ranking
Your 2015 custom build did its job, but every tweak now risks breaking the custom code underneath it. We'll rebuild Life Made Conscious on a clean WordPress setup you can actually edit, carry your Acuity booking and Drip signup over as-is, and protect every page Google already ranks with a full redirect map — while giving the brand the fuller refresh you asked for on our call.
What we heard on our call
- The custom build has become a liability. In your words, debugging and small edits have gotten "more difficult" because you don't want to "wreck the whole custom code" underneath.
- You're not attached to the platform. You told us you're "not married to WordPress" or Bluehost and are open to staying or moving — we're recommending you stay, for the reason below.
- You liked the direction. You said you liked the preview mockup and the branding we showed ahead of the call.
- But you want more of a brand refresh than the mockup's subtle logo treatment shows. You're not precious about your current logo and are open to a fuller refresh.
- Milestones should be flexible. You asked about payment structure; we agreed it can be split however works for you, and we've proposed a 3-milestone schedule below.
- You're comparing a few other people and said you'd decide no later than Friday.
The plan
Two things have to happen at once: a platform you can actually run, and a move that doesn't cost you a single ranking.
Rebuild on WordPress, the easy-to-run way
Stay on WordPress, but drop Genesis + Elementor's two layout systems for one lightweight theme with native block editing. Nothing in the finished site can be clicked into breaking.
- Lightweight theme + GenerateBlocks, no legacy page builder
- Acuity booking and Drip signup carried over as-is
- Single editor for pages and posts, no plugin pile-up
Nothing breaks, and the brand gets its refresh
Every page Google knows about gets mapped before anything changes, and the brand gets the fuller refresh you asked for — within this build, not a separate project.
- Full 301 redirect map + Person/Organization/Article schema
- Two brand directions, two rounds of revisions, applied sitewide
- Full backup + staging build; nothing goes live until you approve it
A first look
A concept for the new home page — grounded and warm, built around your own facts, not stock "life coach" imagery. Final design is shaped around your photography and the brand direction you choose. Concept only — not the final design.
Coaching for driven men ready to experience who they are beyond the performing — in your emotions, your marriage, your work, your daily life.

16 yrs therapist 8 yrs Army officerIllustrative concept using your own words and credentials — your real photography and chosen brand direction replace this in Milestone 1.
What's included
- Full rebuild on a lightweight WordPress theme with GenerateBlocks — no legacy page builder, no plugin pile-up.
- Hosting guidance to move off Bluehost to a managed host with one-click staging and backups (SiteGround, Cloudways or Kinsta — you pick, you pay directly).
- Full SEO-safe migration: a 301 redirect map for every indexed URL, Person/Organization/Article schema, Search Console resubmission, and a zero-404 check after launch.
- In-house brand refresh: two directions, two rounds of revisions, applied across the whole site — scoped as a refresh within this build, not a full identity programme.
- Acuity booking and Drip signup carried over and tested, exactly as they work today.
- Core pages: Home, The Process, About, Insights, Subscribe, and a clear booking path.
- Your keep-list of posts migrated with their slugs and metadata intact wherever possible.
- Full backup, staging-only work, and a 30-day rollback window after launch — the live site is never edited directly.
- A recorded handoff walkthrough so you can edit pages and publish posts yourself.
What we checked before quoting
We looked at how this actually works before putting a number on it, so nothing catches either of us off guard mid-build.
Staging, backups & rollback
Cloudways gives one-click staging free on every plan; Kinsta includes it on all plans too. Either supports the full backup → staging → 30-day rollback plan.
SiteGround's staging tool
Only available on SiteGround's GrowBig and GoGeek plans, not the entry-level StartUp plan — if you'd rather stay with SiteGround, GrowBig is the minimum.
Acuity & Drip
Both work as copy/paste embeds on self-hosted WordPress — no plugin required, no risk to either integration.
GenerateBlocks Pro
Full page-building flexibility needs the paid Pro tier — $99/yr standalone or $149/yr bundled with the theme. It's a small ongoing license you'd hold directly, not included in the fixed price below.
Milestones and pricing
Fixed at the $3,000 we landed on during our call — ahead of the $2,800 / 5-week written quote you'd already seen, which this proposal replaces.
Design approval
- Full crawl + redirect map drafted
- Two brand directions, round of revisions, your sign-off
- Home + one inner page designed
Staging build complete
- Full build on staging: all 6 pages, your kept posts migrated
- Acuity + Drip connected and tested
- Redirects and schema in place
Launch & handoff
- Zero-404 check against your old URL list
- Search Console resubmission
- Recorded handoff walkthrough; old staging removed with your sign-off
After launch
Once you're live, pick the level of ongoing care that fits — or call us only when you need something.
| Plan | What's covered | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Core updates, backups, uptime checks | $99/mo |
| Standard Recommended | Essential, plus content edits and small fixes each month | $199/mo |
| Priority | Standard, plus priority turnaround and monthly check-in call | $349/mo |
| Ad hoc | No plan — pay only for the hours used | $40/hr |
No commitment required — plenty of clients start with ad hoc and move to a plan once the site's live and they know what they actually need.
When is it done?
What we need from you
- Your keep/redirect/delete list for existing posts and pages.
- A hosting decision — SiteGround (GrowBig or above), Cloudways, or Kinsta — and sign-off to pay that host directly.
- Google Search Console access for your domain, to build and verify the redirect map.
- Confirmation you still control johnharrisoncounseling.com, so we can point it at the new site.
- Your pick of the two brand directions, plus any real photography — we'll lean on illustration only where we have to.
- Any credentials or quotes you want featured — we don't put words in your clients' mouths, so anything beyond your own facts comes from you.
- Who should hold WordPress admin after handoff.
Relevant work
How we work
- One point of contact. I lead the project and stay on every call; our designers and developers are in-house, based in Pakistan.
- Full visibility. An Asana board with every task, so you can see progress any day you want to check.
- Staging first, always. Nothing touches the live site until you've seen it and approved it.
- Pay as it's delivered. Fixed-price milestones on Upwork, released only once you've reviewed each one.
Next steps
- Send over your keep/redirect/delete list and hosting preference.
- Quick call to confirm scope and pick a brand direction — happy to do this by message too.
- Kick off Milestone 1 on Upwork; design approval within the first two weeks.
